Amazing, third week of STAAR Academy and we are still going strong! Thank you, thank you, thank you for encouraging your child to join us for this extra preparation for STAAR. We are making it fun and I am amazed how many are showing more strategies on their daily work.
As we continue to review and discuss STAAR strategies, the students are motivated and showing a lot of energy for learning over the past few weeks. I LOVED that some students chose to do the entire math packet last night for homework, not just the odd or even. I know they are ready and going to do their 100% best on May 9th and 10th. This week we also welcomed a new student to our classroom. Of course the girls were excited since we are low on girls in the class as we welcomed a new girl to our class.
Thank you to those who have been saving and are saving eggs for our cascarone making. Our class is going to be ready to celebrate the ending of STAAR testing for 3rd grade.
Here are some upcoming things you will find in the Newsletter and other important information:
- May 6th is field day- a flyer is coming home today with an invitation for parents to join us

- Binders will come home today- we are nearing the 6-week progress report so be sure to look for any work below a 70 for redo
