Third Grade Tracks, May 2nd-6th

The final week of STAAR Academy is approaching!  I can’t believe that we have spent 3 weeks of practice, practice, practice.  Between STAAR Academy and all the review,  our class is going to rock this test. Thank you to all of you for your support and help in getting your child ready for their very first test.  I know they are going to give their 100% effort on May 9th and 10th.

I am still trying to wrap myself around the fact that we are entering the month of May.  I can’t believe how fast this year has gone.  The month of May is going to be busy and full of preparation for 4th grade.  WOW!

Here are some important news and happenings in our Third Grade Tracks:

  • Dress Code- please read the Third Grade Tracks (under Classroom News) for important reminders about proper dress as the weather warms up.  This information was also shared with your child.
  • Purple Forms- if you haven’t already, please return your forms for next year’s classes.  If not returned, your child will not be placed on a list. Thank you to those who have  already returned the form.
  • Teacher Request Forms- if you have any special requests for your child’s 4th grade classroom, forms are due back on May 4th.  Mrs. Pierce will not accept forms after that time.
  • May 6th- Field Day @ 9:30; Market Day forms are due
  • May 9th-10th STAAR Testing days; please ensure your child gets a good night’s sleep and eats a nutritional breakfast.
  • Go to Classroom News and read all of the other important  information
  • Think Through Math and Istation- don’t forget to be using these tools. They are a great preparation tool for strategies.

Have a nice and relaxing weekend!  With the last week of STAAR Academy, I hope to see everyone at 7:00 Monday morning.

Cordially,

Mrs.Hidalgo
